This role is vital in ensuring that children and young people in care receive consistent, safe, and high-quality support that promotes stability and long-term well-being. You’ll be working in a beautiful and diverse region, within a supportive team focused on child-centred practice, relational working, and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Undertake statutory responsibilities for children in care, including regular visits, assessments, and the development of care and pathway plans.

Ensure all care plans are reviewed in a timely manner and reflect the voice, needs, and best interests of the child.

Work closely with families, carers, health professionals, and education providers to coordinate and deliver multi-agency support.

Prepare high-quality reports and represent the local authority in court proceedings, statutory reviews, and planning meetings.

Monitor the effectiveness and stability of placements, taking timely action to address any concerns or disruptions.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records in line with Cornwall Council’s practice standards and statutory requirements.
