Halton Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Children’s Services team on a locum basis. This role is essential in providing high-quality support and safeguarding services to children and families within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Handle complex cases involving children in need, child protection, and looked after children, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards 
     

  • Support and Supervision: Provide professional support and supervision to team members, ensuring high standards of practice and care 
     

  • Collaboration: Work closely with social workers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for children 
     

  • Service Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement plans, promoting best practices and enhancing outcomes for children and families
