Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Band 7

Service: Stroke Rehabilitation
Job Details:
- Band 7 Stroke Occupational Therapist required to start ASAP.
- Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for patients who have experienced a stroke.
- Support early intervention and complex discharge planning from the acute setting.
- Assess and manage reduced cognitive and motor function impacting activities of daily living.
- Work with patients whose functional abilities have been significantly affected, including those previously in employment.
- Develop and implement personalised rehabilitation plans to maximise independence and recovery.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes and safe discharge.
- Utilise advanced clinical reasoning in a fast-paced acute environment.
Skills / Experience:
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in stroke rehabilitation and neurological conditions.
- Experience working within acute hospital settings.
- Strong knowledge of cognitive and physical rehabilitation techniques.
- Experience in discharge planning and complex case management.
- Excellent communication and MDT working skills.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 08:00 – 16:00.
