South Gloucestershire Council is seeking a committed and skilled Children’s Social Worker to join our Children and Families team. The role involves safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at risk of harm, working collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners. We pride ourselves on a supportive work environment that encourages continuous professional development and reflective practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake statutory assessments, including Child and Family Assessments and Section 47 enquiries, in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018).

Develop and implement child protection and care plans, ensuring the voice of the child is central to decision-making.

Work within multi-agency teams, attending child protection conferences, core groups, and strategy meetings.

Maintain accurate case records and reports, complying with South Gloucestershire Council’s policies and statutory guidance.
