Conduct assessments: Perform in-depth evaluations of prospective foster carers using the BAAF Form F format.

Home visits: Schedule and conduct home study appointments to assess the living environment and suitability of applicants.

Interviews: Carry out interviews with applicants, their family members, and references.

Prepare reports: Write detailed Form F assessment reports, highlighting the strengths and areas for development of the applicants.

Present findings: Present the completed assessments to the fostering panel.

Compliance: Ensure all assessments comply with relevant regulations and standards, including the National Minimum Standards for Fostering and Fostering Regulations 2011.

Support applicants: Guide and support applicants through the assessment process, including helping them start their Training, Support & Development Standards (TSD) portfolio.

Health & Safety: Conduct health and safety evaluations of the applicants’ homes.

Collaboration: Work closely with the fostering agency’s team, including supervisors and managers, to ensure thorough and accurate assessments.
