View JobSlough Borough Council is looking for an experienced Locum Qualified Social Worker Experienced (QSWE) to join their Child Protection Team. This role involves managing high-risk safeguarding cases, conducting assessments, and working collaboratively with families and partners to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children. The ideal candidate will have substantial post-qualification experience and a strong knowledge of statutory child protection processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and oversee Section 47 enquiries.

Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop robust, child-focused care plans.

Work closely with families, legal teams, and multi-agency partners to safeguard children effectively.

Attend and actively contribute to child protection conferences, strategy discussions, and court proceedings.

Prepare clear and accurate reports and statements for legal processes.

Maintain detailed, timely, and accurate records in accordance with Slough Borough Council’s policies and statutory guidance.
