Job Overview
Join our Mental Health Directorate at Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as a Senior Section 136 Link Nurse. You will manage the Section 136 Suite at Bodmin, providing a place of safety for individuals brought in by the police. This role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that the suite is a least restrictive option, while performing both inpatient nursing duties and being a named nurse for the 136 suite.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Oversight: Lead and supervise junior staff in the Section 136 Suite, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Risk Management: Oversee risk assessments and manage incidents of challenging behavior using de-escalation techniques.
- Collaboration: Work alongside police, social care, and healthcare providers to ensure the safety and well-being of service users.
- Supervision: Provide clinical and operational supervision to junior staff and support student nurses.
