Deliver statutory social work responsibilities on behalf of Bedford Borough Council, working with children and families under Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children frameworks.

Manage a varied caseload, conducting high-quality assessments and creating care plans that are timely, child-centred, and outcomes-focused.

Build effective relationships with children, young people, and their families to ensure their views and lived experiences are central to all decision-making.

Prepare and present clear, evidence-based reports for child protection conferences, looked after reviews, and court proceedings, in line with statutory requirements.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to coordinate safeguarding and intervention strategies that reduce risk and promote stability and wellbeing.

Engage in regular supervision, reflective practice, and continuing professional development, supporting a culture of learning and excellence within Bedford Borough Council’s Children’s Services.
