Introduction:
Ealing Council is seeking a skilled and experienced ABE Social Worker to join our dedicated Children’s Services team. As an ABE-trained professional, you will play a vital role in safeguarding children and young people who may be victims of serious harm or abuse. This role focuses on undertaking Achieving Best Evidence (ABE) interviews in partnership with the police, providing high-quality assessments, and ensuring the child’s voice remains central throughout every stage of intervention.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct joint ABE interviews with police officers in accordance with national guidance, ensuring best practice standards in gathering evidence from children and young people.

Undertake comprehensive assessments and Section 47 enquiries where children are at risk of significant harm, in line with Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018).

Collaborate with multi-agency partners including police, CPS, health, and education to plan interventions and safeguard children effectively.

Prepare high-quality written reports for court and child protection conferences, and provide expert witness testimony where required.
