Job Title:  Occupational Therapist
Area:  London Social Services

Job details:  3 days in the office per week. JD available on request:

  • To undertake Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for the generic Adult Social Care service within the City of London.
  • To work as part of the Reablement service ensuring compliance with CQC requirements.
  • To ensure delivery of a service that is responsive, high quality, value for money and meets the City’s statutory requirements. 
  • Full time post
  • 60% days in office
  • Role includes ASC tasks with your own caseload such as home assessment, recommendations, equipment provision, order, review, minor adaptations and major adaptations. Wet-rooms, stairlifts, ramping.
  • Manual handling assessments, reviews and specialist seating assessment and provision, review of carers input.  
  • Reablement assessments and support with reviews of clients, making recommendations for care package reductions/changes/care grid updates with tasks. Reviewing/training carers for reablement tasks.
  • Major adaptations completion of specs and diagrams.
  • Duty support with equipment order for discharge/equipment delivery facilitation
  • Welfare contacts-phone calls/home visits
  • Liaising with NRS/IIT/ACRT/CMHT, community rehab teams etc.
  • Attend two monthly meetings. One business focus and one development focus. 
  • Project work as required.
  • Telecare assessments and provisions, link with Camden care line (responder).
  • Housing assessments & recommendations.
  • Use of mosaic database, word, excel etc.
  • Out of borough visits as required. 
  • Not exhaustive/multi skill/generic.
  • Allocations frequency varies and numbers. Caseload varies but usually less than 15 or so at any one time. 

Working hours: Full time. Monday to Friday, 09.00 – 17.00.
