  1. Achieving for Children (AfC) is seeking a passionate and skilled Social Worker to join our Children’s Safeguarding Team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for protecting children at risk, conducting thorough assessments, and working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to ensure children’s safety and wellbeing. AfC values innovation, reflective practice, and partnership working to improve outcomes for children and families.

    Key Responsibilities:

  2. Undertake statutory child protection assessments and investigations under the Children Act 1989.

  3. Identify and manage risks, develop safety plans, and intervene appropriately to safeguard children.

  4. Collaborate with multi-agency teams, including schools, health professionals, and police, to coordinate child protection efforts.

  5. Prepare detailed reports and present findings at child protection conferences and court proceedings.

  6. Maintain accurate and timely records, ensuring compliance with statutory guidance and AfC policies.
