Offender Behaviour Programme Facilitator

Role: Offender Behaviour Programme Facilitator
Location: HMP Millsike, York
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time

Tripod Partners is proud to offer an exciting opportunity for an Offender Behaviour Programme Facilitator at HMP Millsike. This role is central to supporting the rehabilitation and restoration of individuals in custody, delivering programmes that address offending behaviour and enable positive change.


About the Role

As part of an integrated programmes and psychology team, you will:

  • Deliver accredited programmes and structured interventions aimed at reducing offending behaviour.
  • Work with high-risk individuals to address offence-specific characteristics, supported by the psychology team.
  • Facilitate sessions interactively, addressing resistance and challenging unhelpful attitudes.
  • Deliver awareness packages to staff within the establishment.
  • Contribute to a rehabilitative environment aligned with HMP Millsike’s vision of personal growth and transformation.

This non-operational role welcomes applicants from diverse professional backgrounds, including probation, psychology, teaching, training, or community programmes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver programmes in line with the Accredited Programme Manual and session content requirements.
  • Facilitate group and individual sessions to support offender rehabilitation.
  • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of progress using central data systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve programme and departmental goals.
  • Maintain accreditation through training and assessments.

Person Specification

  • Preferred Experience:
    • Accredited programme delivery (training will be provided if needed).
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to engage diverse audiences.
    • Ability to challenge and address resistance constructively.
    • Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Organisational skills and attention to detail for managing records and data.
    • Teamwork-oriented, with a commitment to shared goals.
