Job details: Increase of Workload. The Community Occupational Therapy Service requires a motivated individual who has experience of working with disabled people in their homes and in community settings.
The successful candidate will work as part of an Occupational Therapy Team and an infrastructure of preventative services and deliver community-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions for adults with a wide range of disabilities.
The post holder will undertake complex functional assessments within clients’ homes/other community settings, recommend adaptations and equipment, device rehabilitation plans, and complete blue badge/bus pass assessments. They will undertake moving and handling risk assessment, seating posture assessments, and navigate clients through the local infrastructure of NHS, voluntary, and independent sector services. Providing student education, supervision of therapy support staff, and contributing to service development are key parts of this role. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across the OT team and other preventive services of the Council such as Intermediate Care and First Contact. Working hours: 37 hours per week.
