Job details: Experienced and dynamic Occupational Therapist required to cover vacancy for 3 months in the Orthopaedic Therapy team.
The role will require strong rehabilitation skills and complex discharge planning skills, with the ability to work autonomously under pressure. The post holder will require a sound clinical understanding of acute orthopaedic conditions (both trauma and elective), general surgery and experience of managing patients with mild traumatic brain injuries. They will require strong manual handling skills.
The role will be supporting with leadership of the occupational therapy team, including supervision of junior staff, coordination of the OT service across three wards and the provision of staff training.
Essential criteria: HCPC registration and qualified OT status. Acute experience in core areas, discharge planning skills, strong time management and organisational skills, previous experience of supervising staff and providing day to day operational leadership. NHS experience essential. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08.30 -16.30.
