View JobBarnet Council is seeking a skilled and analytical Qualified Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). This team acts as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, screening referrals, and making informed decisions based on multi-agency information. The role requires excellent decision-making skills, sound knowledge of thresholds, and a commitment to keeping children safe.
Key Responsibilities:

Assess safeguarding referrals and determine appropriate thresholds and next steps using multi-agency intelligence.

Liaise with professionals from health, police, education, and other agencies to inform timely and effective decision-making.

Identify and escalate serious safeguarding concerns, ensuring swift responses and transfer to the appropriate social work teams.

Accurately record and analyse data in line with Barnet Council’s policies and statutory guidance (e.g., Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018).
