View JobWe are seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join Brighter Futures for Children’s (Reading Borough Council) Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team on a locum contract. This role involves screening and assessing referrals, identifying risk levels, and ensuring timely and appropriate safeguarding responses. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child protection thresholds, excellent analytical skills, and experience in multi-agency working within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Triage and assess incoming referrals to identify safeguarding concerns and determine appropriate actions.

Analyse information from multiple sources, including partner agencies, to inform decision-making.

Make threshold decisions in line with statutory guidance and local safeguarding procedures.

Liaise effectively with police, health, education, and other partners to gather relevant information.

Record and maintain clear, accurate, and timely case notes in line with organisational policies.

Contribute to strategy discussions and ensure prompt escalation of high-risk cases.
