The London Borough of Wandsworth is seeking a passionate and skilled Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Services team. You will play a vital role in safeguarding and supporting children, young people, and their families across the borough. If you are committed to relationship-based practice and delivering high-impact social work in a diverse and dynamic London community, we welcome your application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out assessments and interventions under the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation to ensure children’s safety and well-being.

  • Work directly with children and families to build trust, strengthen family networks, and support positive change through child protection, child in need, or court proceedings.

  • Develop and implement care and support plans, ensuring all decisions are informed by the child’s voice and focused on their best interests.

  • Liaise with schools, health services, and other professionals in a multi-agency context to promote integrated, child-centred support.
