Croydon Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence & Analytics Specialist to join our data and insights team. This role involves turning complex data into actionable intelligence to support strategic decision-making and service improvement across the council. If you have experience in data analytics, business intelligence tools, and a passion for public service, this is a great opportunity to make a tangible impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain business intelligence reports, dashboards, and data visualisations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.

  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that inform policy and operational decisions.

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across council departments to understand their data needs and provide timely, relevant insights.

  • Ensure data quality and governance standards are upheld, complying with legal and organisational policies.

 

  • To provide professional consultation, direction and support to team members on
    existing cases daily.

     

  • Carry a caseload of individual people and families where the problems presented
    are consistently challenging and complex and require advanced level of skills and
    knowledge.

     

  • To undertake joint working on cases with team members where these are more
    complex and/or assisting with the development of areas of practitioner
    competence.

     

  • To provide practice learning opportunities to social work or occupational therapy
    students (and, where appropriate, AMHP trainees) by directly
    supervising/assessing the student
