This key role involves chairing multi-agency conferences, ensuring timely and robust safeguarding decisions, and maintaining a focus on the voice and experience of the child throughout all stages of intervention.
Key Responsibilities:

Chair initial and review child protection conferences: Facilitate high-quality, inclusive discussions with professionals and families in line with statutory guidance.

Ensure effective planning and risk management: Oversee the development and review of child protection plans that are SMART, outcome-focused, and child-centred.

Provide independent scrutiny and challenge: Monitor the quality of assessments, decision-making, and planning, promoting best practice across teams.

Champion the voice of the child: Ensure children’s views are heard and considered, and that their safety and well-being remain the central focus of all planning.
