View JobAshford and St Peter’s NHS Trust is seeking a qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the team at St Peter’s Hospital. This role provides the opportunity to deliver specialist assessment and intervention for adults with dysphagia and communication impairments within general medicine, supporting recovery, independence, and quality of life in an acute inpatient setting.

Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and management of dysphagia and communication impairments in adults within general medicine.

Develop and implement tailored treatment plans, ensuring interventions are evidence-based and patient-centred.

Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimise care, safety, and rehabilitation outcomes.

Support patients and their families with strategies and education to promote effective communication and safe swallowing.

Provide guidance and support to junior speech and language therapists, assistants, and students.

Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance clinical standards.
