Job Title:  Occupational Therapist (Part time)

Job details: Occupational Therapy Practitioner required with a minimum of two years’ experience. Should be experienced in undertaking manual handling assessments in peoples home on an urgent basis, as the service can have a 2-hour response time. The right candidate will need to be adept at utilising their own initiative, have a creative approach to problem solving and thrive in an integrated team that is fast paced. JET is awn multi- professional team consisting of expert practitioners in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapists, General Practitioners and Social Workers, as well as an extensive supporting staff team. The team provide medical and nursing interventions, manual handling and mobility assessments, urgent social care packages and safeguarding responses for people over the age 18 years, who are registered with a local GP and live within the borough. These referrals are received via the Virtual Ward, 111, GP’s, D2A’s and LAS as well as urgent referrals from the Front Door Service – the Contact and Assessment Team. JET is dynamic and as such provides a robust service to these crisis referrals, 7 days per week, from 8am to 8:30am. A significant aim of the Team is to ensure that people are supported within their own homes, avoiding the need to go to Hospital. Working hours: weekend position – Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
