Job Title:  Telecare Officer
Area: East London Social Services
Salary:  £negotiable
Job Type:  Locum
Contract length:  Ongoing
Job details: Telecare Officer required
Must have relevant Telecare experience or a related background. Understanding key aspects of Telecare, such as client support, equipment handling, and emergency protocols, is essential for delivering effective and reliable services.
Candidates or team members with direct experience in Telecare or similar roles adapt faster and provide valuable insights. This expertise helps ensure smoother operations and improves the experience for the clients we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficient Front-Line Service
Contribute to a team that provides a comprehensive and effective Telecare service. This includes offering information, advice, and assistance to service users, customers, and agencies. Be the first point of contact for calls requiring actions or visits by Telecare Officers, out-of-hours staff, or other agencies.
Situational Assessment and Action
Assess service user needs through the Jontek system, telephone, or in person. Take appropriate actions, which may include home visits or welfare checks, and provide first aid or personal hygiene care when needed, following established procedures.
Telecare Equipment Management
Assess, install, program, and instruct service users on the proper usage and testing of Telecare equipment. Resolve faults, replace, or remove equipment in service users’ homes as necessary.
Collaboration and Service Implementation
Actively support the implementation and facilitation of Telecare and out-of-hours services. Work closely with staff and external agencies to maintain high standards in service delivery.
Flexible Working Arrangements
Perform duties according to a 24-hour, 365-day rota pattern. This includes shift-based roles and standard 9-to-5 roles to meet service demands.
