Specialist Physiotherapist – Band 6 (Locum, 2 Positions)

About the Role

North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) is seeking two experienced Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapists to join the Community Adults MSK Service in Havering. You will manage a varied musculoskeletal caseload, delivering high-quality assessment, treatment and rehabilitation, alongside clinical administration and onward referrals where appropriate.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage an MSK caseload independently, delivering evidence-based assessments and treatment plans.
• Provide timely interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription and patient education.
• Make appropriate onward referrals to specialist services when required.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes and complete associated administration tasks.
• Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and partner services to ensure coordinated care.
• Use RIO (version 9) for clinical documentation (essential requirement).
• Contribute to service quality, efficiency and patient-centred care delivery.

Skills & Experience Required

• HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
• Significant MSK experience within community or outpatient settings.
• Competent in the use of RIO 9 (essential).
• Experience with e-referrals (desirable).
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including telephone and email communication.
• Strong clinical reasoning and caseload management skills.

Working Hours

• 37.5 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday.
• Shift options: 08:00–16:00 or 08:30–16:30.
