The successful candidate will work to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children and young people, supporting families through complex assessments and care planning. Key Responsibilities:

Undertake complex assessments and care planning for children and families in line with statutory requirements and best practice frameworks.

Manage a caseload of child in need, child protection, and looked-after children cases, ensuring timely interventions and high-quality support.

Provide mentoring and professional guidance to less experienced social workers, supporting their development and promoting reflective practice.

Chair multi-agency meetings and contribute to case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and ensure reports are completed to a high standard within statutory timeframes.

Work collaboratively with families, partners, and other professionals to deliver holistic and child-focused services that improve outcomes.
