This leadership role involves managing a busy frontline team dedicated to safeguarding children at risk and ensuring statutory compliance with child protection procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide operational and strategic leadership to the Child Protection team
-
Manage and supervise social workers carrying caseloads of children subject to CP plans
-
Ensure timely, high-quality assessments, care planning, and intervention delivery
-
Oversee compliance with child protection legislation, policies, and best practice standards
-
Support staff through supervision, performance management, and professional development
-
Liaise with partner agencies, courts, and other stakeholders to coordinate safeguarding work
Requirements:
-
SWE registration
-
Proven experience in a management role within child protection services
-
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, child protection procedures, and public law
-
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
