Lead complex child protection and safeguarding cases, ensuring compliance with the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance.

Provide expert advice, supervision, and support to social workers and multi-agency professionals to improve practice and outcomes for children and families.

Coordinate and chair strategy meetings, case conferences, and core groups, driving timely and effective interventions.

Undertake assessments, direct interventions, and contribute to care planning that prioritises the safety, welfare, and development of children and young people.

Maintain comprehensive, clear, and up-to-date case records on the council’s case management system in accordance with statutory requirements and local policy.

Support service development and continuous improvement through reflective practice, training, and professional development, ensuring adherence to Social Work England standards.
