Essex County Council is looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Team Manager to join our Business Intelligence & Analytics (BIA) team. This role supports the delivery of data-driven insights and analytical projects that inform strategic decision-making and service improvements across the council. If you have strong leadership skills and expertise in data analytics and business intelligence, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to transformational change.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing the BIA team’s daily operations, including workload management, staff development, and performance monitoring.

Support the design and delivery of analytical projects and reports, ensuring data accuracy, relevance, and accessibility for stakeholders.

Collaborate with service leads and senior managers to understand business needs and translate them into actionable intelligence.

Promote a culture of evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement, embedding best practices in data governance and analytics.
