Role Overview
A Band 6 Physiotherapist is required for an immediate start to join the Acute Therapies team. This is a full-time locum opportunity offering rotational exposure across a range of acute specialities within a busy hospital setting.
Key Duties
- Work as an autonomous practitioner within Acute Therapies.
- Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment across Orthopaedic, Surgical, Elderly Care and Medical wards, including ITU.
- Manage acute caseloads with a focus on safe and timely discharge planning.
- Deliver respiratory physiotherapy, including management of ward-based chest conditions.
- Work effectively within the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable acute physiotherapy experience.
- Previous NHS experience desirable.
- Strong experience in acute medicine and elderly care.
- Essential respiratory skills to manage ward chests.
- Available to start immediately or within one week’s notice.
- No significant planned leave until at least March.
Working Hours
Full time
Monday to Friday, 08.15 – 16.30
