Job Title: Occupational Therapist

 

Location: Redbridge Council – Wanstead and Woodford

Area: North East London Social Services

Salary: £41.58

Job Type: Locum

Contract length: Ongoing

 

Job details: Occupational Therapist required ASAP for a locality-based multi-disciplinary team delivering an integrated community health and adult social care service. Approximately 4 cases per week will be allocated, comprising a mixture of complex and standard OT cases. Regular supervision and support will be provided, with flexible working opportunities available.

 

  •  
    • Excellent knowledge, skills and experience in assessing for and making recommendations for major adaptations and complex equipment, including preparing sketches, reading plans and providing detailed specifications for major works, including manual handling
       

    • Experience of working within a multi-professional team and undertaking complex OT, holistic person-centred assessments, support planning and reviews for people with a range of health conditions and their carers
       

    • Strong understanding of the legal social care framework and housing legislation
       

    • Experience in managing, planning, prioritising and progressing complex cases
       

    • Experience and knowledge of assessing for and recommending simple and complex equipment, reviewing effectiveness and teaching safe use of equipment in line with legislation, policy and safe working practice guidelines
       

    • Ability to work autonomously and effectively plan and prioritise own workload
       

    • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting
       

    • Professional Occupational Therapy qualification recognised by the HCPC
