Non-Medical Prescriber – Adult ADHD Service

We are seeking Non-Medical Prescribers / ADHD Nurse Practitioners to join the Adult Neurodevelopmental Service at Horizon House (Epsom)

Key details:

  • Role: ADHD Nurse Practitioner / Non-Medical Prescriber

  • Band: 8a

  • Location: Horizon House, Epsom / Remote (hybrid)

  • Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

  • Contract: ASAP – 31st March 2026

  • Rate: £35 per hour

Job purpose:
To practice as a clinical nurse specialist and non-medical prescriber, taking primary responsibility for the prescribing and review of treatments for adults with ADHD, while supporting the wider Neurodevelopmental Service.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage ADHD in adults, including prescribing, titration, and medication review

  • Manage a caseload and liaise with consultants, GPs, and other services

  • Conduct screening and risk assessments for referrals

  • Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to Trust policies

  • Contribute to service development, audits, and clinical governance

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and support NMP governance

Essential requirements:

  • Registered nurse (RMN, RGN, RNLD, or equivalent) with NMC registration

  • Non-Medical Prescriber qualification (Independent or Supplementary)

  • Relevant NHS experience, including ADHD assessment and treatment in adults

  • Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and leadership skills

  • Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
