Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to independently manage an adult voice caseload across Hull and East Riding. This locum role offers flexibility, with the option to work remotely or deliver face-to-face voice therapy clinics depending on service need.
You’ll provide highly specialist assessment and intervention for adults presenting with voice disorders, ensuring care is evidence-based and in line with RCSLT and HCPC professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Independently assess and treat adults with a range of voice disorders using evidence-based approaches such as the Accent Method.
– Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to support optimal vocal health and recovery.
– Work autonomously to manage your own caseload, maintaining clear clinical documentation in accordance with NHS standards.
– Liaise with multidisciplinary professionals as required to support patient progress and continuity of care.
– Deliver therapy sessions remotely or in-person across community clinics in Hull and East Riding.
About You
You’ll be a confident, experienced Speech and Language Therapist with a passion for supporting adults with voice difficulties. You’ll combine strong clinical knowledge with the ability to work independently and flexibly across community and remote settings.
Requirements
– Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
– HCPC registration and full RCSLT membership (essential)
– Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience, including significant experience working with voice caseloads
– Evidence of specialist training in voice therapy (e.g. Accent Method)
– Familiarity with SystmOne (desirable)
– Excellent communication, documentation, and time-management skills
Contract & Salary
– Contract type: Locum
– Contract length: Ongoing
– Working hours: 2–3 days per week (up to 22.5 hours), 09:00 – 17:00
– Location: Remote or clinic-based across Hull and East Riding
– Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
