As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist with Medway Council, you will support adults with mental health needs to build independence, confidence, and functional daily living skills. Working within a community-based, multidisciplinary team, you will deliver person-centred interventions that promote recovery, wellbeing, and social inclusion.

Carry out comprehensive, strengths-based assessments of individuals with complex mental health needs.

Develop and implement personalised care plans using occupational therapy models to enhance daily functioning and independence.

Support service users with goal setting, routine building, and re-engagement in meaningful activities.

Collaborate closely with mental health professionals, social workers, and external agencies to ensure coordinated care.

Advocate for adaptations, assistive equipment, and community support to reduce barriers to participation.

Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service planning, safeguarding, and multidisciplinary reviews.
