Specialist Physiotherapist – Band 6 (2 Roles)

Brief Job Overview

 
We are recruiting two experienced and motivated Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapists to join the North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT), based at Porters Avenue Health Centre, Havering.  

These locum roles sit within the Community Adults Service and focus on delivering high-quality musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy to patients across North East London. You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload, assessing and treating MSK conditions, providing expert advice, and ensuring smooth onward referrals to specialist services where required.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage a designated caseload of MSK patients within the community setting, providing comprehensive assessments and evidence-based treatments.
  • Deliver physiotherapy interventions focused on restoring function, reducing pain, and promoting independence.
  • Undertake accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes using Rio 9 electronic records system (essential).
  • Provide clinical reports, correspondence, and onward referrals through e-referral systems as required.
  • Contribute to clinical administration, ensuring patient pathways are managed efficiently and in accordance with service standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and maximise treatment outcomes.
  • Work autonomously while contributing to the wider multidisciplinary community therapy team.
  • Participate in service development, audit, and supervision to maintain and enhance the quality of clinical practice.
  • Adhere to NHS and NELFT professional standards, maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and data integrity at all times.
