Lead on the most complex and high-risk cases across Brent Council’s social care services, providing expert guidance and oversight in safeguarding, court work, and multi-agency planning.

Offer professional support, mentoring, and reflective supervision to social workers, promoting high standards of practice and continuous professional development.

Undertake advanced assessments and interventions under relevant legislation (e.g. Children Act 1989 or Care Act 2014), ensuring timely, person-centred responses.

Act as a lead professional in strategy meetings, case conferences, and legal proceedings, contributing to informed decision-making and positive outcomes.

Assist with quality assurance, auditing, and service improvement initiatives, helping to drive innovation and good practice across the team.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policy, legislation, and best practice, and act as a point of expertise within the service.
