Join Middlesbrough Borough Council’s Children’s Services as a Team Manager, leading a dedicated team of social workers to deliver high-quality, child-centred safeguarding services.

Provide strong operational leadership, case management oversight, and professional supervision to ensure statutory responsibilities are met effectively and efficiently.

Oversee a range of complex cases including child protection, looked after children, and care proceedings, ensuring timely interventions that promote safety and permanence.

Foster a culture of reflective practice, continuous learning, and trauma-informed approaches, keeping the voice of the child central to all decision-making.

Collaborate with multi-agency partners including health, education, and voluntary sector to deliver coordinated, integrated support packages for vulnerable children and families.

Work within a supportive local authority offering professional development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, regular supervision, and a strong focus on staff wellbeing and retention.
