Carry out statutory assessments, child protection investigations, and care planning in line with the Children Act 1989 and related legislation.

Take the lead on high-risk cases, ensuring children’s voices are central to decision-making and safeguarding processes.

Provide professional support, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced social workers, promoting reflective and evidence-based practice.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including education, health, and police to deliver coordinated and effective support.
