Join Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council as a senior practitioner to lead and oversee complex statutory assessments for children and families, ensuring compliance with legislation such as the Children Act 1989/2004.

Take responsibility for developing, implementing, and reviewing child-centred care and protection plans within Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council’s framework, promoting safety, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.

Manage and prioritise a complex caseload, while providing leadership, mentorship, and informal supervision to junior social workers and trainees in the children’s services team.

Lead safeguarding processes for Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, including chairing or attending strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and court proceedings.

Collaborate strategically with multi-agency partners (health, education, police, and others) to ensure coordinated, effective support for children at risk.

Maintain accurate, timely case records and reports in accordance with Social Work England standards and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council’s policies, contributing to service improvement initiatives.
