To ensure service is delivered in line with councils principles and values of working with partners, children and families
To contribute to the assessment of more complex placement needs of children and young people, and family find for them according to their needs.
Advise and assist the Child’s Social Worker, in preparation of children for placement either individually, or in groups (specifically for more complex and evasive families)
To act as Supervising Social Worker to approved carers and provide supervision, support and training and to maintain local and statutory records. In addition to undertaking complex assessments and family
fit
To produce reports, attend planning meetings, panel, court, reviews, team meetings, Psychology Service meetings and inter-agency meetings as necessary or appropriate.
To mentor and support less experienced social workers.
To contribute to service and policy development and lead on identified priorities
