About the Role
University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist to join the Therapy Services team at Poole Hospital. This role requires recent acute inpatient experience, including strong respiratory skills, to support patients across a fast-paced clinical environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment to acute inpatients.
- Deliver respiratory physiotherapy interventions, including airway clearance techniques and mobility support.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective discharge planning.
- Manage a varied caseload autonomously while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
- Contribute to the delivery of a responsive and patient-centred Therapy Service.
Requirements
- HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
- Recent experience working in an acute inpatient setting.
- Respiratory physiotherapy knowledge and practical skills.
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Working Hours
- Shift pattern: 08:30 – 17:00.
