Lead on the most complex and high-risk adult social care cases within Bedford Borough Council, including safeguarding, hospital discharge, and continuing healthcare assessments.

Provide professional leadership, supervision, and mentoring to social workers and newly qualified staff, promoting reflective practice and continuous learning.

Carry out detailed, strengths-based assessments and support planning under the Care Act 2014, ensuring personalised outcomes that promote independence and wellbeing.

Undertake and coordinate Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to assess risk and implement protection plans.

Apply advanced knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, including capacity assessments, best interest decisions, and court-related processes.

Contribute to quality assurance and service development through audits, practice reviews, and the implementation of evidence-based approaches to improve outcomes.
