This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality occupational therapy for adults and paediatric patients in acute and general medical settings, with a focus on moving and handling, equipment, and adaptations, promoting independence and safe discharge.

Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for adults and children in inpatient settings.

Support patients in developing independence in activities of daily living, including moving and handling safely.

Recommend, provide, and train patients in the use of equipment and home adaptations to enhance functional ability.

Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care and effective discharge planning.

Provide guidance and support to junior staff, therapy assistants, and students.

Participate in service evaluation, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance standards of occupational therapy practice.
