We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Children’s Services team in Swindon. The role offers a rewarding opportunity to work with vulnerable children and families, providing support and intervention where needed. As part of our team, you will make a direct impact on the lives of children and their families, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Child Protection & Safeguarding: Conduct assessments and create care plans to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at risk of harm, in line with Swindon’s safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Care Planning & Reviews: Lead the development, implementation, and regular reviews of care plans for children in need, ensuring these plans are robust and child-focused.

  • Collaboration with Multi-Agency Teams: Work alongside health professionals, schools, and other agencies to ensure a holistic approach to supporting children and families.

  • Court Work & Legal Proceedings: Prepare and present reports for court hearings, including child protection conferences and care proceedings, ensuring the child’s voice is heard throughout.

  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely interventions and reviews are carried out in accordance with legislation and best practice.

  • Reflective Practice & Professional Development: Maintain high professional standards, seeking regular supervision and participating in training opportunities to ensure your continuous growth and effectiveness in the role.
