-
Act as a critical friend and advocate for children, providing independent oversight of care plans and challenging practice that does not meet required standards.
-
Ensure compliance with statutory duties under the Children Act 1989, Care Planning Regulations, and IRO Handbook, maintaining a clear focus on the voice of the child.
-
Work closely with social workers, managers, and multi-agency partners to promote best outcomes, escalating concerns where appropriate in line with dispute resolution procedures.
-
Utilise your professional expertise to scrutinise care planning, placement stability, health, education, and permanence for looked-after children.
-
Benefit from regular professional supervision, opportunities for CPD, and a working culture that values independence, challenge, and child-focused practice.
