Take a leadership role as a Qualified Social Worker Team Manager in Bedford Borough Council’s Children’s Services, ensuring effective delivery of statutory services to vulnerable children and families.

Oversee a team of social workers, providing professional supervision, support, and direction to manage complex child protection, CIN, and looked-after children cases.

Ensure that social work practice is evidence-based, legally compliant, and centred on the voice and lived experience of the child.

Drive performance and quality standards, using reflective supervision, audits, and team development to support continuous improvement.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including education, health, and the police to deliver integrated, outcome-focused interventions.

Contribute to strategic planning and service development while maintaining a strong safeguarding culture and preparing for external inspections, including Ofsted.
