View JobDoncaster Borough Council is currently seeking a skilled and committed Locum Qualified Social Worker to join their Child Protection team. This role involves working with children and families to safeguard and promote their welfare through robust assessments, planning, and interventions.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, and Public Law Outline

Conduct thorough assessments and risk analyses in line with statutory guidelines
-
Develop and implement effective care plans with clear outcomes and timescales
-
Participate in child protection conferences, core groups, and legal proceedings
-
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children
-
Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records and reports
Requirements:

SWE registration
-
Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in child protection and statutory social work
-
Sound understanding of safeguarding legislation, policies, and best practice
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
