View Jobentral Bedfordshire Council is seeking a confident and experienced Senior Practitioner to join its Children’s Social Care team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality social work support while mentoring junior staff and contributing to improved outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage complex caseloads involving Child Protection, Children in Need, and Looked After Children.

Provide reflective supervision and mentoring to less experienced social workers within the team.

Lead and support strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and legal planning meetings.

Ensure the delivery of outcome-focused assessments and care plans that meet statutory requirements.

Liaise effectively with families, partner agencies, and legal representatives to achieve timely interventions.

Contribute to service improvement through quality assurance, audits, and promoting best practice standards.
Requirements: Social Work England (SWE) registration, right to work in the UK, and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in statutory children’s services, including recent experience in a Senior Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner role.
