Lead on complex and high-risk cases for East Riding of Yorkshire Council, including Child Protection, Looked After Children, and care proceedings, ensuring statutory compliance and high-quality outcomes.

Support and mentor less experienced social workers and students, promoting reflective practice and contributing to the development of a skilled and resilient workforce.

Undertake detailed assessments and create outcome-focused care plans that are child-centred and responsive to changing needs and risk.

Prepare and quality-assure comprehensive reports for legal proceedings, child protection conferences, and reviews, ensuring they meet professional and legal standards.

Work collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners to coordinate effective safeguarding and early intervention responses.

Contribute to team learning, service development, and quality assurance activities to improve outcomes and maintain high standards within East Riding’s Children’s Services.
