Lead on the most complex adult social care cases across Bradford Metropolitan District Council, including safeguarding, mental health, hospital discharge, and continuing healthcare.

Provide advanced professional support, supervision, and mentoring to social workers and students, fostering a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement.

Conduct and oversee strengths-based assessments, ensuring person-centred care planning in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.

Take a lead role in Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, coordinating multi-agency responses and ensuring robust risk management and protection planning.

Apply expert knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, completing complex capacity assessments and supporting best interest decisions, including court applications where necessary.

Contribute to service development through quality assurance, case audits, and policy implementation, supporting innovation and high standards in Bradford’s adult social care services.
