Provide statutory social work services for Derbyshire County Council, working across Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children teams.

Undertake detailed assessments under the Children Act 1989, ensuring timely, proportionate, and child-focused intervention and planning.

Build meaningful relationships with children and families to support sustainable positive change and ensure the child’s voice is central to all decisions.

Manage a varied caseload, including complex cases involving court proceedings, safeguarding plans, and multi-agency working.

Prepare and present high-quality, evidence-based reports for legal proceedings, case conferences, and statutory reviews.

Engage in regular supervision, reflective practice, and continuing professional development in line with Social Work England and Derbyshire County Council practice standards.
