Medway Council is seeking a committed and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Fostering Team. This role focuses on the recruitment, assessment, supervision, and support of foster carers to ensure safe, stable, and nurturing placements for children in care. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people through effective partnership working and high-quality social work practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake fostering assessments (Form F and connected persons) and present them to the fostering panel.

Provide regular supervision, training, and support to foster carers to promote placement stability and development.

Work closely with the children’s social work teams, IROs, health and education professionals to support care planning and placement matching.

Maintain accurate records, complete statutory visits, and contribute to service development in line with fostering regulations and Medway’s policies.
